Carer's Allowance

Sarah Ismail has launched a campaign to ensure that carers receive a minimum wage.

Sarah says, "As a disabled person, I've seen for myself the hard work carers do in their caring roles. They rarely complain but they often earn less than the minimum wage. I'd like to see Carer's Allowance raised to ensure carers earn at least the minimum wage."

She continues: "Carers are people too, with the intelligence and skills that should allow them to earn more than £95 a week. By caring for us in our own homes, they are saving the state a lot of money as well as giving disabled people a good quality of life, allowing us to spend time with friends and familiy in a familiar environment."

If you agree with Sarah, support her campaign now, sign her online petition.

  1. Sould carers be paid minimum wage if you think yes then sign this petition. anyone who is a carer nows how differcult it can be and how little support we recive this needs to change we work the same amount of hours that a full time employee who by law has to be paid minimum wagw with is clos to £6. if you compare this to carers allowence to be eligible you need to look after someone for more then 35 hours a week for with you well recive £58 a week if you break that down it means we only get paid £1.65 an hour if you belive this to be wrong then sign this petition WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE
