Thanks to everyone, a couple of thousand actually, who follow this News Blog either directly by visiting or through a number of social networking methods and RSS. I'm always pleased (and somewhat taken aback) whenever I check the stats!
Keeping up with the news is pretty demanding at times and regulars would of noticed the lack of new stories appearing this month, Sorry about that. but with the improved weather the temptation to get away from the computer in to the fresh air is just to much. I do intend to get back to regular updating, though all this fresh air has gone to my head a bit and has made think ...
I need some help!
No, not that sort of help. But I do need some brain help, people help - I need bloggers to help with the News. So if you have experience of writing about disability issues, or you would like to give it a try, please email my at editor@disabilitydirect.org telling me a bit about yourself and providing links to work that is already on the web.
As an initial guide:
- Ideally you should have a disability yourself, be resident in the UK and be sort of familiar with the concept of blogging.
- I can offer help with how to use blogger.com and will provide a disabilitydirect.org pop email account if you would like one to post entries using e-mail.
- Apart from reserving the right to edit posts and offering constructive criticism, your writing will remain your own and can contain links to your own sites or blogs as well as links directly back to original sources.
So whether your interest is political, factual, social, philosophical or anything in between give me a shout and you could be shaping public opinion. editior@disabilitydirect.org
