YOUNGSTERS in Blaenau Gwent took part in a four-day athletics camp during the Easter holidays.
Around 30 children aged between eight and 15 took part in the camp run Aviva Startrack Athletics, which was supported by Welsh Athletics.
They joined in many activities including sprinting, hurdles and shot-put and received t-shirts, caps, water bottles and bags as souvenirs.
Newly trained sports coaches from Blaenau Gwent's new athletics club - BG Athletics - which launches next week also joined in.
They hope the camp will encourage youngsters in the area to become more active and are urging anyone interested in joining the club to attend its first training session on Thursday, April 23.
The club will be based at the all-weather Brynmawr Athletics track and will offer sessions for children from the age of eight, adults, beginners, those with more experience and disabled people.
